The property is exquisite and immaculately clean. the continental breakfasts are sensational. - the staff is caring. - the setting is excellent and unbeatable, close to the Suffolk coast and other attractions. - the location is convenient, only a short distance from Woodbridge.

Lovely building, gardens and pool, but hotel rooms now very dated and in dire need of modernisation. Bar and reception all needs bringing into this century. If our 'superior double' was a superior room, I would be very worried about what a standard room might look like. In summary, a fantastic building, memorable place to see and stay but really also in need of some interior investment. At the discount rate we had from Booked.net, it was well worth the stay. Friendly and we would stay again, but not at full room rates.
Shower was very poor on pressure. Room was small.

Appreciated that the hotel was modern and had attentive and caring staff at breakfast & general manager. The accommodation had a central location in the 1530 restaurant. Besides, we were right by a main dual carriageway, the attitude and helpful nature of the entire team, and Woodbridge, Suffolk.
